The York Tap

The York Tap is a freehouse with a wide selection of 18 ales available plus real cider. They also have a large selection of bottled beers.

The bar is in a the restored Edwardian rooms at York Station. There are traditional high ceilings and in one are there is a dome in the ceiling which has stained-glass. The other stand out features are the columns and iron fretwork. Spare a thought for the floor too as it is terrazzo. Seating is at chairs and stools with some button-back benches.

For the winter there are fireplaces and for the summer you will have to exit the pub as there is no outside seating.

The bar is a circular counter with brass foot rail.

Food is served here including pork pies.

Dog friendly.

Well worth seeking out.
