Rook and Gaskill  

Previously known as the Queen's Head, this split level pub was re-christened the Rook and Gaskill Inn when it was re-opened in 2002 and then became part of the Castle Rock pub group in 2005.

It serves a good selection of Castle Rock beers pus a guest or two. It also serves cider and/or perry.

The pub is just outside the walls of York and is named after the last two people hanged in the 17th Century.

Food is served here Monday to Saturday 12 until 2.30, then 5 to 8pm.
