The Davenports Arms

The pub is located opposite the church in this village.

It is a Robinson’s pub and so serves their ales. It is also known as the 'Thief’s Neck' due to the hanging tree being opposite. Look out for the model of the pub on the wall to the right and the small bench seats built into both sides of the front entrance.

Inside the pub has a different rooms to drink in. The decor is traditional and there are some plates and water jugs on a shelf.

A lounge area can be fund on the right of entrance where an aircraft propeller is a reminder of Woodford’s association with aircraft manufacturing (BAE).

Food is served 11.30-2.30 (3pm Sat/Sun).

The toilets are located outside across a courtyard - there is a covered walkway for when it rains.

For the summer there is an outside area and in winter real fires warm each room.

There is a large car park, a regular bus stops outside.
