The Pheasant

The Pheasant, on the edge of the town centre, is one of the Project William pubs by Everards. These pubs usually offer a wide range of real ales and are used by the smaller micros to set up their own brewery tap. Some are successful some are not - Tunnel Brewery in Nuneaton being one who did not renew their lease. This time the Rowton brewery is on-site, so it would be difficult to separate the two in the future if the pub did not flourish.

The Pub itself is a great place to relax and enjoy the offering from the seven handpumps plus two real ciders on tap.

It is very modern inside after its refurbishment, but welcoming to all. There are many nooks and crannies to get lost in.

Food is served here - lunchtime only, there is a minimal choice at present, though that should change once everything has settled down.

For the summer there is a beer garden and a wood burning stove for winter in the fireplace.

Children and pets are welcome here.
