The Springer Spaniel  

We understand there has been a pub on the site for over 200 years. The pub was called the Sportsman’s Inn until the late 1980’s, when it was extended and the pub gained a name for its food. Today, the aim is still to provide the best quality home cooked food for all tastes and all budgets. They specifically use Cornish produce wherever possible and their food is fresh and not cooked from frozen, as is so often the case these days. An 18th century country pub with wonderful atmosphere. They have a comfortable non-smoking restaurant and a cosy public bar with large settles & a wood burner.

All real ales are from Sharps and were tasty and well kept. Food is available every day at the Springer Spaniel. The menu and special boards are the same wherever you eat in the pub. Food is served lunchtime 12-2pm, and dinner 6.30-9pm. The restaurant and snug area are non smoking.

They have a quiz evening every other Sunday. There is an opportunity to win the rolling jackpot. Monthly music sessions are also put on.
