The Magnet

Built in 1840 as a coaching inn, due to its close proximity to the Heaton Norris Station, The Magnet has retained its original name for 170 years.

The Magnet has 4 or more ales on at any one time. They also have a farmhouse cider. In addition there is a wide selection of bottled beers from Belgium, Germany and the U.S.A.

No food is served here, just pork pies from the local butcher.

The Magnet is a large multi-roomed pub, with ample seating space, a well stocked juke box, pool table and 2 dart boards.

Inside there is a Games Room in the cellar. Look for the tunnel leading to a barrel vaulted cellar.

They have no TV, but do have live music.

There is a car park located at the rear of the building.
