The Banner Cross Hotel

This is a good traditional pub with a traditional 'Taproom'. The Banner Cross is close to the shops on the A625, the main road from the City to the Peak District. It is often a starting point for the university students night out.

This a traditional pub with three rooms and a large beer garden to the rear. The wood panelled lounge is the quieter of the three areas with the jukebox turned down low and is the main room used at lunchtimes for dining (bring your own food 12noon - 6pm Monday to Saturday). The Taproom is the main bar area for sport with 2 plasma screens one of which shows sports in 3D. Upstairs there is a pool room with 2 big screens, the jukebox in this room is louder and has its own bar.

The beer garden has a large plasma screen and a covered, heated area for both smokers and non smokers.

They serve up to 4 real ales. Food is served here, Monday to Friday 12-3pm and Sunday lunch 1-4pm

There is a conveniently placed bus stop outside which takes you into Sheffield only 2 miles away.

Dogs allowed, but not in garden.
