The pub boasts quality ales including a couple of guest ales.

It is a relaxed pub, the ambience is always friendly making the inn popular with locals and visitors alike. It is close to the River Ouse and you can walk the Trans-Pennine Trail.

Food is served here Tuesday to Friday, 12 to 2pm and 5 to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday, 12 to 2pm. The Sunday carvery is popular, with several roasts and all the trimmings. Booking is advised.
