Gonzo

A bottle-store tap-room, with up to 15 keg and key keg beers on from the UK and abroad.

There is also a good selection of bottled beers, including a selection of rare brews and vintage Lambics.

The seating bar is at the back of the shop. A large screen on the wall shows the beers available, but not the prices, you find those on the table, so check before you order as GBP9 (nine pounds) pints are not uncommon.

Seating is benches and trestle tables plus a couple of high stools/tables.

There are events here - meet the brewer, etc.

There is also a delicatessen. from which you can buy to eat in or takeaway.

It's next door to the City Arms Wetherspoons, so a double visit is a must.

Comments

I recently visited Beer Gonzo in Coventry and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of beers they had on offer. The bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. The space is nicely laid out with plenty of seating. The beer selection was impressive, with a variety of craft beers from all over the world. I particularly enjoyed the selection of stouts and IPAs, as well as some interesting sour beers. Prices were expensive though. All in all, Beer Gonzo is a great place to visit for a few drinks with friends or to just while away the hours trying out some new beers. Highly recommended!
